Addition & Subtraction with and without Regrouping Worksheets
It’s important to help students develop an understanding of place value. This understanding needs to arise from prolonged exposure to the base ten system through engaging activities. Recognizing that numbers can be broken apart, rearranged, and re-formed, gives students a better understanding of how addition, and subtraction work.
Students will use their analytical skills to answer two and three-digit problems involving addition and subtraction. Some of these activities will also require regrouping.
Two copies of each worksheet are included – one without lines and one with lines to help scaffold student learning. Lines are added to separate the ones, tens and hundreds and will help facilitate an understanding of place value.
